Branden S. Polk, MSW, LGSW

Branden S. Polk is the CEO and Founder of Arrowhead Advising, LLC. As an innovator, social reformer, public speaker, writer, counselor, and creative artist, Branden has dedicated his life to advocacy for the most vulnerable, the developing of transformational leaders, and to changing the way society addresses today's most sensitive topics such as race, sexuality, criminal justice, education, faith, and more.  

Before founding Arrowhead Advising, Branden served with a community-based nonprofit organization that provided behavioral health services to underserved children, adolescents, and families. He spent his time providing therapeutic services to children and families who had been impacted by traumatizing experiences. Branden then provided consulting services to the Child Welfare Information Gateway, a service of the Children’s Bureau and Health and Human Services as a project manager, subject matter expert, and conference speaker. He has continued that work with organizations such as The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Harvard University, the Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission, and The Clapham Group to name a few.

Branden received his undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Theater from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He is also a graduate of George Mason University where he received his master’s degree in Social Work. During that time he became an ordained minister and founded a professional and spiritual mentoring group for men, The Arrowhead Society, that focuses on building strong relational connections, developing leaders, and innovative cultural moments.

TJ Wallace, MBTS

TJ Wallace is an organizational strategist, personal development advisor, and ministry leadership coach. TJ has a degree in hospitality management and has worked with companies known for providing world-class service such as Marriott International and Chick-fil-A. With a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, TJ also has an extensive ministry background, working with clients who serve in various churches and ministries around the world. His desire is to empower leaders to establish sustainable practices that will enable them to have significant long-term impact. His pastoral approach provides individuals and organizations with the courage and clarity they need to discover, implement, and uphold their values.

TJ has experience working with individuals who desire to grow in areas such as: personal leadership development, communication, life transitions, discovering God’s will, culture shock, building confidence, addictive behaviors, professional and spiritual burnout, sexual identity, relational and workplace conflicts, spiritual growth, work-life balance, authentic living, and emotional development. He is also passionate about researching Gen Z and helping the Church discover ways of engaging this next generation of leaders.

TJ and his wife live in Atlanta, GA with their dog. They serve as Doorholders at Passion City Church, enjoy discovering all the best gluten-free eats in the ATL, and are self-proclaimed Enneagram experts.

Ashley Bauman

Ashley is a counselor, educator, and coach with a desire to see people thrive as integrated and whole beings. She believes our spiritual health and our emotional health are deeply tied together, and when we tend to those needs, we can thrive. Ashley believes we have the answers to our questions, but a supportive and nonjudgmental presence can help us unlock and uncover the greatest of what lies inside of us. She has come to learn the power of connection can help us set our goals and accomplish them.

She is a graduate of Richmont Graduate University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D from Regent University in Counselor Education and Supervision. She also has a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development from the University of Georgia. Ashley is certified through The Green Cross Academy of Traumatology as a Trauma Therapist and a Trauma Educator. Ashley has worked and volunteered in a variety of settings including human rights non-profit, private practice, agency work, higher education, and ministry and church planting.

Ashley Miller, MSW, LMSW, MFT

Ashley Miller received her Master’s in Social Work and Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. She enjoys working with individuals and families particularly in pursuit of healthier and stronger interpersonal relationships.

Life circumstances can create a great deal of stress and hardships in life. Ashley has a heart to integrate spiritual growth and renewal in the counseling process to meet the needs of the individual holistically. She deeply desires to approach her clients with compassion and genuine curiosity throughout the therapeutic process to create a safe and healing environment. The invitation to join individuals in their journey is a honor and privilege.

Ashley has experience working with adults in areas of: identity, existential spirituality, life transitions, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, dysfunctional family relationships, and parenting skills. Her clinical experience includes: individual and family therapy, pastoral care, and hospital social work (oncology and diabetes); with children and adolescents in areas of: ADHD, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, social skills, peer relationships and coping with transition. Ashley has also received training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR),  Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Ashley’s particular areas of interest include dysfunctional family relationships, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, spiritual growth and renewal, codependency, life transitions. self-esteem and trauma. When Ashley is not counseling, she enjoys spending time traveling, outdoors, health and fitness, and time with close friends and family.

Karen Millsap

Karen Millsap is a TEDx speaker, coach and positive culture educator. With a background in human resources, it wasn't until she suddenly became a widow at a young age when she discovered her true calling. Karen realized we are all connected through our struggles, from the death of loved ones, to life-altering illnesses, divorce, even job loss. Everyone has been through something, the hard part is overcoming that hardship. Karen teaches clients how to apply practical tools for personal healing and also educates organizations how to employ compassion and empathy on a daily basis to amplify their people and culture.

Karen has worked with companies like NBC’s Golf Channel, Hubspot, Sprint and many more! Her work has been featured in Forbes, SHRM Magazine, on Good Morning Washington, MSNBC, and on countless podcasts.

Karen received her undergraduate degree in Communication from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She is also a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist through the Grief Recovery Institute in Los Angeles, California. Tyler Duvall, MSW

Tyler DuVall is an avid social worker, quality mental health professional, health coach, and fitness trainer with a passion to see individuals and communities transformed. 

In addition to earning various undergraduate degrees, Tyler obtained his Master’s degree in Social Work in 2015 at George Mason University through their accelerated nine month program, earning a specialization of macro social work and policy. 

Over the past decade, Tyler has worked extensively in addictions and substance abuse counseling, homeless programs, and family counseling. In 2015, Tyler started a youth program in his local community, while working as an Intensive In-Home Therapist, before he transitioned into health care. Currently, Tyler works at United Health Care as a Case Manager, in addition to providing nutrition and fitness training. 

As a fitness and health coach, Tyler believes in offering his clients first-hand experience in regards to various diets and workout techniques. Tyler has personally utilized diets such as Keto, Atkins, carb-cycling, and intermittent-fasting as well as various workout methods such as Cross-fit, body building, and body sculpting. 

By combining mental health practices with nutrition and fitness, Tyler believes that lives can be positively impacted and that individuals can achieve sustainable change. 

 
 
 

Kyle Huwa

Services provided: project management, digital strategy, writing, copy editing, Communications strategy

Kyle Huwa is a writer, copy editor, project manager, and a digital and communications strategist. He believes that good communication is a key to empowered and change-oriented leadership. His passion is to tell stories that connect with humans, crafting language and narratives that give pause, that excite, that challenge.

Kyle graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Political Science before spending five years in the political space, serving in communications, policy, and grassroots organizing roles. He most recently served as a communications director in the U.S. House of Representatives, managing all press relations, creating a digital presence, and writing speeches for an up-and-coming Member of Congress.

Originally from Colorado, Kyle now lives in Central America, where he leverages his communications experience to assist local development projects.

Josh M. Shepherd

Josh M. Shepherd is an editor, project manager and marketing strategist who helps people share their stories and ideas with the world. As a writer on culture, faith and public policy issues, his articles have appeared in media outlets including The Federalist, Religion & Politics, The Stream, Live Action News, Boundless and The Daily Signal.

He has interviewed film directors, Members of Congress, crisis pregnancy counselors, award-winning music artists and many diverse influential leaders. He recently worked on staff at Bound4LIFE International on Capitol Hill, managing a team of writers across the globe who addressed issues of injustice against the most vulnerable.

Moving from Colorado to the nation's capital, he served in two Congressional offices then worked for four years at The Heritage Foundation in marketing and communications. Prior to this, Josh worked on staff for five years at Focus on the Family. He earned his degree in Business Marketing at the University of Colorado. Josh and his wife live in the Washington, DC area.

Luke graduated magna cum laude with an B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Leadership Studies from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. He has started multiple businesses in the real estate space and has consulted non-profits, businesses and individuals. Shane Seckinger

Executive Assistant

Shane Seckinger is a detail-oriented, people-centric professional from the Atlanta area. His work experience is diversified in the fields of accounting, sales, and customer service. He has most recently worked within the Grace Family of Churches doing college student mentorship, administration, and organizational logistics. As a collegiate athlete, he grew as a committed and disciplined leader. Shane graduated from the University of North Georgia with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Spanish just before moving to the DC area.
